The Zuma storage bench is a sturdy and functional bench with storage boxes that slide out and are completely detached. The top cushion is grey felt with 3 inches of soft memory foam and straps that go down the side to Velcro on the underside of bench so that is completely removable with no visible sight of a fastener. Use the cushion for comfort or remove it to expose the solid walnut wood with natural hand-rubbed oil finish. The 2 storage boxes are very durable and use thick wood. They can be purchased separately or with the piece. Use only one box if you like. They slide in and out of the box compartment and are completely removable. The middle shelf is adjustable to 3 levels and is removable as well. Store your outdoor and indoor goods in this rugged and durable hearty wood delight.
We love using walnut wood because of the beauty, but we also love this specific engineered joint board wood because it is solid - no veneers used - and it repurposes otherwise scrapped pieces from a pre-consumer recycling process. It is an eco-friendly solid wood board that focuses on the warmth and inviting grain and variation of walnut. We also use a natural hand-rubbed oil finish which soaks in leaving no residue and makes a durable surface and brings out the warm tones of the walnut. Using a natural oil finish makes it last a long time and if it gets scratched or nicked, you can easily re-apply and it is fixed - it is solid wood after all! It can truly last years and years as a premium durable piece and keep looking amazing! Our Eco-friendly mission includes keeping it out of the landfill.
